Our ancestors have been fishing the waters of the Irish Sea and the North East Atlantic off the coast of Northern Ireland for langoustine prawns, scallops and white fish for generations:
- Our clean deep waters and strong currents provide the perfect environment for world class seafood
- Our sustainable fishing methods have meant that the stocks have not been drained
- Our community catches, lands, processes, distributes and sells our seafood, giving us a strong local economy
As a result we have a thriving fishing sector here in Northern Ireland and are confidently moving forwards into a post-Brexit world.
In this section you’ll find more details about our catch and how and where to buy our seafood if you’re a member of the public or trade.
We also have a number of chefs who support our fishing communities by buying local who have posted some recipes up for you to try.
