Kilkeel | Fishing Capital of Northern Ireland
Sea Source is based in Kilkeel which is recognised as the ‘Fishing Capital of Northern Ireland’ based on the volume of boats and seafood landed through the harbour. It is also the home to the bodies of the Anglo Northern Irish Fish Producers Association (ANIFPO) and the Northern Ireland Fish Producers Association (NIFPO).
As we go through the Brexit process it is important to shine a light on the fishing industry of Northern Ireland. Our plan is to highlight the fishing capital in Kilkeel and to show how changes as a result of the Brexit process will directly affect the fishing communities. In turn we will look after and promote the fishing communities of Ardglass and Portavogie.
Here’s how to get involved
- We want buyers, food media, chefs, food influencers and anyone from around the world who might be interested in promoting or buying our seafood to come to Kilkeel. Simple as that. We’ll give you a taste of our legendary N.Irish craic, show you around and prove that we have what it takes to be a serious contender on the global seafood stage
